Summer Beauty Picks

Just like in past seasons, we like to highlight beauty items that are just right for the season.  Summer is no exception!  Here are a few of our beauty "Must Haves" for summer!

1.  Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunscreen: We mentioned our love for this sunscreen in our Anti-Aging post, but we are big fans of Neutrogena for sun protection.  Sunscreen goes on EVERY DAY in our households and gets reapplied multiple times.

2.  Orly Epix Flexible Nail Color in Headliner: This nail polish makes for the perfect summer pedicure.  It's super bright and offers really opaque coverage in just a coat or two.  Pro-tip: Neon colors actually make your skin look more tan!  Try it!

3. St. Tropez Tanning Essentials Gradual Tan Everyday Classic Body Lotion: We have been on the hunt for a self-tanner that didn't go on patchy or smell terrible for what seems like forever.  After reading about this lotion on Kate's blog The Small Things, we decided to give it a try.  We'll update you with a review soon!

4.  Essie Nail Polish in Marshmallow:  In addition to neons, another way to make your skin look tanner is white nail polish.  This is a classic white without shimmer.  A similar look with the Essie Gel Couture formula would be Pre-Show Jitters.

5.  Burt's Bees After Sun Soother: On the rare occasions where we don't apply enough sunscreen, this lotion always soothes our skin.  Its natural aloe and linden flower moisturize and hydrate your skin, and take away that sting from sunburn.

6. Frizz Ease Serum: This is Ryan's go-to product to get rid of frizzy hair in any season.  However, if your hair is like ours, you need a little extra work in this area in the summertime humidity.  This serum works great!

7. Julep Sea Salt Texture Spray: This multi-tasker provides protection from the sun and real sea salt to give your hair body and texture.  Bonus--it smells like the beach, too!

8.  Neutrogena MoistureShine Lip Soother SPF 20: When you're thinking sunscreen, don't neglect your lips!  This gel formula lip gloss comes in four colors (Jess has all 4!) and gives you light glossy color with sun protection.  Throw this in your beach bag and go!
