Summer Manicure-Pedicure Pairings

If you're a regular reader, then you know how much we love a fresh mani-pedi.  To save money and time, we usually do our own and we have pretty extensive (okay...obsessive...) nail polish collections.  We are always looking for new combinations of colors that look great paired in a mani-pedi.  Here are some of our favorite combos for the summer:

1.  Essie Topless and Barefoot and Rock the Runway: Both of these colors are favorites, no matter what the season, but they look especially great in the summer.  Both the nude (with a hint of shimmer) and the classic red will look great with any outfit!  A nude nail is also neutral enough for work, so you won't have to worry about anything too shocking if your workplace is conservative.

2.  CND Weekly Polish in Cake Pop and Orly Headliner:  If you're reading closely, you might notice that we've already mentioned these two colors as some of our favorites for the season.  We love the look of picking one color (in this case, pink) and going with a lighter shade on your fingers and a bright on your toes.  These are two classic pinks and you need to try them!

3. Essie Blue La La and Butler Please:  We mentioned Blue La La in our last Friday Pick-Six, so we had to include it here.  Again, same them as before, we chose blue and went light on fingers, bright on toes.  Blue is one of our personal favorite shades, but we understand that it might be a little "out there" for some of you.  If you're adventurous, the summer is a great time to rock bright colors!

4.  OPI Excuse Me Big Sur and Essie Baguette Me Not: This time around, we picked two colors that are similar in shade (pastel) but different in color.  The light coral and lavender are complimentary and pastels will look great with a tan.

5.  Julep Spencer and Danielle:  We love the look of metallics in the summer.  They look awesome in the sunshine, so they're perfect for a beach vacation.

6. Essie Gel Couture Lace to the Altar and The It Factor:  We can't say enough great things about the Essie Gel Couture line, so we had to include a couple of those here.  We love the classic, girly look of  combining white and hot pink.

What nail polish pairings are you sporting this summer?  Let us know in the comments below and polish on!
